The Moscow Police Department’s mission is to provide public safety services that are designed to fairly, efficiently, and effectively prevent crime and safeguard lives and property. We will provide professional police services by inviting public participation, resulting in a community atmosphere where citizens are free of unnecessary regulation and are treated with dignity and respect. The Moscow Police Department consists of thirty-six commissioned peace officers and civilian support members who strive daily to deliver exceptional enforcement and educational services to our community. The City of Moscow is home to the University of Idaho. In our partnership with the university, our members provide contracted law enforcement services to the campus community and operate a substation within the Memorial Gym. Our unique relationship with the University of Idaho allows us to deliver extraordinary law enforcement and public safety services to campus.
